Ed is a partner of the firm, and the co-chair of Herrick's Corporate Department.

 

Ed's broad corporate experience includes mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; business divorce; equity and debt offerings; strategic alliances and joint ventures; corporate finance; corporate governance; reorganizations; employment and shareholder relations; and licensing. Ed serves as a primary corporate legal adviser to middle market companies, acting as an outsourced general counsel or supplementing in-house capabilities. His clients range from manufacturers to service providers, and closely held businesses to public entities. Ed also chairs Herrick's Venture Capital and Emerging Growth practice. He helps entrepreneurs take ideas from concept to reality, including obtaining start-up capital, securing bank financing, and assembling management teams. He also represents domestic and international clients in cross-border transactions, as well as private equity funds and their portfolio companies in acquisitions and financing transactions.

Ed's recent representative matters span a variety of industries, including life sciences, food/beverage and consumer products. Ed has served as interim senior corporate counsel for Unilever United States, Inc.
