Dena has also represented parties in transactions involving the acquisition and sale of development rights.
Dena's experience in the real estate industry includes the following recent transactions: representation of the following: a hotel developer in a long term ground lease in Midtown Manhattan its first New York transaction; a real estate investment firm in the net lease of the former H&H Bagels headquarters to a major New York City event planning firm; a national financial institution in a complex transaction involving the divestment of 500,000 square feet of Class -A office space; a global financial institution in its acquisition of a SoHo loft building for $87M; a real estate fund in its acquisition of a hotel in Union Square for $100M; purchasers of multiple properties in complex 1031 exchange transactions; several investment firms and WNET television studio in headquarter leases of more than 100,000 square feet; the owners of several prominent office buildings in New York City in connection with their leasing of office and retail space; and the owners of mixed-use developments in connection with various retail leases including high-end medical offices and food and beverage establishments.
