John C. St. Jeanos is partner of the firm, and a member of Herrick's Real Estate Department.
He focuses his practice in the area of commercial real estate, with a particular emphasis on institutional mortgage lending and borrowing.
John has substantial experience representing banks, insurance companies, pension funds and other major financial institutions, as well as owners and developers of real property, in connection with complex commercial real estate transactions, including the structuring, financing, acquisition, sale and development of commercial, residential and mixed-use properties throughout the U.S.
John also represents clients in all aspects of construction, permanent, bridge and mezzanine financing. He also regularly counsels institutional, as well as private lenders in connection with the resolution of troubled loans, including loan workout and restructuring transactions.
While pursuing his law degree at Hofstra University School of Law, John served as an editor of the Hofstra Law Review. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Real Estate Board of New York and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
