What is the ART Act?

Herrick was pleased to sponsor an evening devoted to an examination of the American Royalties Too (“ART”) Act and issues arising from it. The proposed legislation would provide resale royalties to visual artists. Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the author of the Act and ranking Democratic Member of the House Intellectual Properties Subcommittee, explained its features and answer questions from the audience.

Herrick’s Turkish Practice Group hosted a BCIU breakfast briefing with Mr. Ilker Ayci, President, Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT). A delegation of 13 business leaders joined the discussion. ISPAT is the official organization promoting Turkey's investment opportunities to the global business community and providing assistance to investors before, during, and after their entry into Turkey. Mr. Ayci, who reports directly to Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, discussed Turkey's economic and commercial strategy.
