In his weekly Realty Law Digest column (subscription required), Scott Mollen analyzes two notable cases. In Livecchi v. The City of Geneva, the court dismissed a pro se property owner’s suit, noting that judges generally have absolute immunity from being sued for actions arising out of their judicial activities. In Truman Capital Advisors v. Nationstar Mortgage, the court dismissed claims for breach of contract and promissory estoppel based on the defendant’s refusal to consummate the sale of 538 mortgages on an online auction.
