In his weekly Realty Law Digest column (subscription required), Scott Mollen analyzes three notable cases. In Huggins v. Randolph, a tenant accused his son of elder abuse and the court concluded that there is an obligation to recognize abuse and protect society’s vulnerable citizens. In Seerattan v. Seerattan, the court granted a request to impose a constructive trust, where a daughter failed to transfer property ownership back to her mother. In Kurtz v. Verizon, the court analyzed a claim against a telecommunications company based upon installation of terminal boxes on private property.
