In his weekly Realty Law Digest column (subscription required), Scott Mollen analyzes two notable cases. In Friedman v. Maspeth Federal Loan, the court held that neither RESPA statute nor regulations directly address non-owner occupied property for family purposes. In Colemen v. Onsite Property Management, the court held that a tenant neither abandoned nor surrendered his apartment and ordered restoration and eviction of the new tenant.
