Herrick Strengthens Bankruptcy And Finance Practices With Two New Partners

New York, January 7, 2014 – Herrick, Feinstein LLP announced today that Robert L. Rattet and Meghan O'Reilly have joined the firm, effective January 1, 2014.

  • Robert L. Rattet joins Herrick's Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice, bringing more than 40 years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law, focused on the representation of debtors in Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court workouts, and related litigation. His clients include corporations and individuals in a wide range of industries, including the construction, real estate development, and restaurant industries. Prior to joining Herrick, he was the founding partner of Rattet Pasternak LLP, a boutique bankruptcy firm based in White Plains, New York, which he established in 1975.

    Bob has acted as an operating trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and as an assignee for the benefit of creditors in New York State Supreme Court. He is also a certified mediator before the United States Bankruptcy Court and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He graduated with a B.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology and received his J.D. from Emory University.

  • Meghan O'Reilly joins Herrick's Financial Institutions practice from Clifford Chance, where she was counsel in the firm's Finance practice. Meghan focuses her practice on the representation of a wide range of financial institutions in commercial banking transactions, including subscription facilities, corporate loans and other asset backed finance transactions, including real estate loans.

    She has, to date, been the relationship attorney for approximately $40 billion of private equity-focused loans, been extensively involved in the formation of the policies, forms and regulatory strategies governing various lender products, and has spent significant time as primary in-house U.S. counsel for the U.S. expansion of a major global bank. Meghan received her B.A. from the University of Waterloo and her Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
