Hedge Fund Alert’s 2018 Outlook Survey
Stephen Jacobs was quoted in Hedge Fund Alert’s annual market outlook survey.
In it, a majority of the 27 respondents predicted the number of long/short equity funds would decrease in the next five years. Stephen said, “Under the assumption that the U.S. capital markets will experience a correction in the next several months, the expectation would be that the universe of long/short equity funds will compress, perhaps by as much as 15-20%, as investors move to private equity, real estate, credit funds, global macro and other strategies.”
Stephen also predicted that less than 5% of large managers will deploy capital to digital currency investing, calling it "a still very risky, volatile and unproven market."
