Dems press feds to evict Trump from D.C. hotel

Kevin Fullington was quoted in Politico regarding the General Services Administration’s finding that Donald Trump would be in breach of contract for his ownership stake within his Washington D.C. hotel once he’s officially in office. Democratic lawmakers said the GSA told them Trump would be in violation of his lease with the agency on Inauguration Day due to a line in the contract that prohibits any elected official from being “admitted to any share or part of this Lease or to any benefit that may arise therefrom.” Fullington told the publication that if the GSA would accept Trump transferring the hotel to his children, it would be quick and simple to accomplish. The Trump entity that leases the hotel could rewrite its operating agreement so that Trump wouldn't receive any money from the hotel, Fullington said.
