Private Equity Firm – Dispute with Former Member

In a pre-trial motion, Herrick won dismissal of counterclaims asserted by the former member of a leading private equity firm for a percentage of a multi-million dollar transaction completed by our client after the defendant had left the company. Underlying litigation, involving allegations that the former member shared confidential information with his new employer, continued to illegally access his email account after leaving the firm and violated an agreement prohibiting him from engaging in business ventures that competed with a specific portfolio company, remains ongoing.
