Bridge-the-Gap I: Ethics and Skills for Newly Admitted New York Attorneys 2016

Jennifer Smith Finnegan was a panelist at a session entitled "How to Avoid Tripping on Ethical Pitfalls When You're Learning to Walk" as part of the Practising Law Institute's Bridge-the-Gap I series for Newly Admitted New York Attorneys.  The panel addressed everyday ethics issues that arise in law practice, including: handling inadvertently produced documents; the attorney-client privilege; the duty of confidentiality; conflicts of interest; candor to the tribunal; the "no-contact" rule; attorney advertising, social media use; unauthorized practice of law; who is the client; and escrow accounts.
