Alex Berger is a law clerk in Herrick's Real Estate Department, one of the largest in New York City.
Alex has experience in facilitating grant and loan transactions, securing $1 million grant for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company; working on merger and acquisitions for a tech company into a manufacturing company; assisting with business tax audits; drafting common stock agreements with vesting schedules and employment and consulting agreements; facilitating equity negotiations; drafting by-laws; submitting trademark applications and creating IP assignment agreements; and assisted with a tech start-up secure investment with option for convertible note.
In addition, as a law student, Alex conducted research as part of Duke University’s Adaptive Regulation project and researched how regulation copes with rapid technological change and examined microbiome science.
He graduated from Duke with Honors in 2017 and received the Edward Schwarzman Scholarship in Entertainment & Sports Law. In 2013, he graduated from University of Michigan with a B.A. in Political Science.
