Adam Stein is a partner in Herrick’s Litigation Department, where he focuses on complex commercial disputes with an emphasis on real estate litigation representing owners, developers, investors, lenders and title insurance companies.

Adam is a solution-oriented counselor who takes a hands on approach, personally guiding his clients through every stage of a matter with a goal of avoiding litigation, where possible, and limiting the likelihood of disputes in transactional and operational matters. When court intervention is needed, Adam is an aggressive litigator with extensive trial and appellate experience in the state and federal courts systems, litigating a broad range of real estate issues including breach of contract, fraud, title and zoning disputes.

Adam also advises individuals and corporations in securities litigation, as well as investigations and enforcement proceedings before FINRA and the SEC. Adam has counseled numerous real estate clients through regulatory inquiries and audits by the New York State Attorney General and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation Development concerning Rule 421-a compliance.
